- Valid photo ID (Driver’s license or passport)
- Social Security numbers (including spouse & dependents)
- Last year’s tax return (if you’re a new client)
Income Documents
- W-2 forms from all employers
- 1099 forms (freelance, contract work, interest, dividends, unemployment, etc.)
- SSA-1099 (Social Security income)
- K-1s from partnerships, S corps, or trusts
- Records of rental income, if applicable
- Alimony received (if applicable)
- Any Other Income Documents
Deduction & Credit Documents
- 1098 forms (mortgage interest, student loan interest)
- Property tax receipts
- Medical and dental expense records
- Charitable contribution receipts
- Childcare expenses (including provider’s EIN or SSN)
- Education expenses (Form 1098-T and receipts)
- IRA or HSA contributions
- Proof of health insurance (Form 1095-A/B/C)
